how to hardwire rope lighting?
I want to hardwire some rope lighting to my existing dimmable recessed lights. I am assuming this can be done if I install a junction box. If i cut the cord the wide plug is the neutral on the cord right? The narrower plug is the hot right? I am planning on running power from one of the lights.
I wouldn't do it simply because the rope lights will start burning out in portions of it.I'm glad I can just unplug mine and throw them away. Maybe you could hardwire an extension cord to plug them into.
