How do you know when a spider bite is serious?
My neighbor's bird escaped this morning, and flew up into a tree in my back yard. So I climbed up and rescued it for her.
Two hours later I noticed that I have a big spider bite on my left wrist. I assume I got it whilst climbing yon tree, because I've been indoors ever since.
I've been bitten by spiders before, but this bite looks different. Its sort of raised, and the center of each puncture is white. It doesnt hurt though. Is it serious? I'm babysitting 3 toddlers right now, so I'd rather not go to the doc if I dont have to.
I didnt see what kind of spider it was. I was a little distracted with trying not to plummet to my death. LOL!! But I do know for a fact that it is a spider bite.
Take a permanent marker and trace the swollen part. If it swells out of the permanent marker circle then go to the Doc.
Also, if the bit looks like your skin is falling off, it might be a black widow or a brown recluse. Go to the Doc.
The Doc will give you a prescription for a basic infection, to the best of my knowledge.
You should be ok with waiting, just watch it closely. If it looks worse go to the Doc.
I understand wanting to wait, but you have to understand that if its to bad then you don't need to wait.
